ICAI and HFZA seek to strengthen partnership

The Executive Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Dubai Chapter visited Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) on February 2017 to further strengthen and consolidate the partnership between the two business entities. The ICAI Executive Committee team was received by Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone; Ali Al Jarwan, Deputy Commercial Director; Rakesh Ranjan, Chief Development Officer; Haya Al Khayyal, Manager of Leasing & Licensing Department; Muhamed Basheer, Head of Overseas Promotion; and Noura Al-Suwaidi, Head of Marketing.

 

In his address to the ICAI team, Saud Al Mazrouei stated that chartered accountants were business solution providers adding value to businesses. Good accounting practices are key to effective performance management be it in a private or public entity, he said.

 

Geomon George, Business Development Executive, presented to the visiting delegation details of the newly launched business packages and expansion plans of the Free Zone. The ICAI team was also briefed on the launch of the region’s largest ‘Food Park’ which will begin the first phase of its operations in July this year. The ICAI team congratulated Hamriyah Free Zone Authority on earning the coveted Superbrand status and also discussed the possibility of holding events to benefit both the ICAI and HFZA community, and to take their partnership forward in a fruitful manner.
