The Visa and Residence Department at Hamriyah Free
Zone, provides the investors with a range of immigration
services. In this section, all immigration services
provided by the Visa and Residence Department are mentioned
below along with a link to all the requirements, fees
and necessary documents.

Employment Visa Entry Permit (New)
Requirements:

Typed Immigration employment
Visa (Entry Permit) application form & HFZ application
typed, duly signed and stamped by the authorized
signatory

Notes:
Seconded Personnel should work only
for their employer inside the Free Zone. The Investing
Company must ensure that the Seconded Personnel do not
take other employment offers either inside or outside
Hamriyah Free Zone Employment Visa Entry Permit has
a validity of 60 days from the date of issue. After
arrival, the Investing Company should arrange medical
examination their personnel at Sharjah Municipality
Health Clinic located at Hamriyah Free Zone to acquire
the Medical Fitness Certificate.
The Investing Company should acquire Health Card issued
by UAE Ministry of Health for its personnel.


Non Exit or Amend visa residence

Residence Permit (Stamping)

Residence Permit (Renewal)
Requirements:
- Typed Immigration Residence application form typed,
HFZ duly signed and stamped by the Authorized Signatory
- 5 Passport size colored photographs with white background
- 2 Passport copies
- Original ID
- Original Medical Fitness Certificate + one photocopy
- Trade license & Establishment card copy
- 3 copies of renewed Employment Contract (To be signed
in the presence of VD Officer)
Note:
Residence Permit has to be renewed one month prior to
the expiry date to ensure that the Residence Permit
renewal is completed on time. This will avoid overstay
penalty.


Residence Visa Entry Permit for Dependents (New)

Special Issues:
-
Issue 1: Entry Permit for 'Residence'
is granted for the employee's direct family (wife,
children, & adopted children only).
-
Issue 2: Personnel can sponsor their
families under the following circumstances:
-The employee is sponsored by HFZ.
-The employee is gaining a minimum monthly salary
of AED 3500/- with company accommodation and transportation
allowance.
-The employee is gaining a minimum monthly salary
of AED 4000/- without the company accommodation.
-
Issue 3: The employee can not bring
his/her children without the spouse, unless the
spouse is dead or divorced.
It is essential to attach the Death/Divorce Certificate
attested by the respective Embassy/Consulate and
UAE Ministry of Foreign affairs.
If the employee does not possess one, he/she can
get a letter/affidavit from the Embassy/Consulate
stating the same & get it attested by UAE Ministry
of Foreign Affairs.
Issue 4: If the Mother is the Sponsor, the child
should be on separate passport.


Residence Permit Stamping for

- Salary certificate issued by Visa Department
- Marriage & Birth Certificate attested copy
- Original passport of the Sponsor + 1 photocopy

- Attested Tenancy Contract
- Medical Fitness Certificate (only if dependent is
over 18 years old)
Note:
In the Renewal of Residence Permit, the above documents/requirements
should be submitted one month prior to the expiry date
to ensure that Residence Permit Renewal will be completed
before it expires. Failure to do so, will result in
fine per day overstay


Transfer of Sponsorship within Hamriyah Free Zone
Requirements: Typed Immigration Transfer application
& HFZ within Hamriyah Free Zone application form typed
duly signed and stamped by the Authorized Signatories
from the Previous and the New Company

Note:
Within 14 days after the completion of the transfer
procedures, the following documents should be submitted
to VD.


Transfer of Sponsorship (Outside Hamriyah Free Zone)
Requirements:

Typed Immigration Transfer application
& Transfer outside HFZA application form duly
signed and stamped by the Authorized Signatory

Offer letter from the new company

End of Service Termination benefit
or Clearance Certificate from the previous company

Note:
After Completing the Due Process of Transfer a deposit
of AED 1500 as a guarantee is required to withdraw the
original passport. After the expiry of the 30 days grace
period, a penalty will be imposed for the delay in submitting
the copy of the new Residence Permit from the new sponsor.
Refund of the deposit can be claimed after providing
a copy of the new visa.


Cancellation of Entry Permit (Utilized)
Requirements:
- Visa Cancellation application form typed, duly signed
and stamped by the Authorized Signatory
- Original Entry Permit
- Request letter
- Trade license & Establishment card copy
Note:
Unutilized Entry Permits (all types) must be cancelled
in order to delete the name/s from UAE Immigration records
and HFZA records; otherwise, the concerned person/s
will not be able to obtain any visa afterward.


Cancellation of Residence Permit
Requirements:

Visa Cancellation form typed,
duly signed and stamped by the Authorized Signatory

End of Service Benefit or Clearance
of all dues signed by both Employee and the Investing
Company in the presence of VD Representative

Note:
Expired Entry Permits (all types) must be cancelled
in order to delete the name/s from UAE Immigration records
and HFZA records; otherwise, the concerned person/s
will not be able to obtain any visa afterward
The Investing Company may cancel the Residence Permit
of a Seconded Employee for the following reasons:
-The Investing Company may dismiss an employee either
the company or the employee has to notify the other
party in writing with at least 30 days notice period.
-The Investing Company may dismiss an employee without
notice in case of misconduct, mistrust, offence involving
honor/honesty/public morals, absent from work without
valid reason for more than 14 non-consecutive days or
more than 7 consecutive days, disobedience and incompetence.
